Billy Tubb

 

§         Billy estimates he has worked behind the scenes on some 5000 different live entertainment productions during his career spanning over the last 25 years. Some of the prominent events he has managed as Technical Director include; 2004 DNC National Debate, Phantom of the Opera National Tour , Elton John, and Pavarotti in concert.

 

§         Billy is an accomplished Theatrical Lighting and Sound Designer, Theatre Consultant, Specialized Systems Designer and Project Manager. He also established and administered the first nationally recognized theatrical apprenticeship program in New Mexico.

 

§         He has been the Associate Director of Production Services at Popejoy Hall on the University of New Mexico campus since 1990 where he oversees 170+ productions annually.

 

§         Billy has also served as Production Manager for all concerts held at the University of NM Arena (AKA the PIT) since 1990. Billy was also responsible for production management of the largest concerts ever held at the University of NM Football Stadium; The Rolling Stones and Metallica.

 

§         Mr. Tubb is the owner of Albuquerque Performing Arts Consultants, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Technical Theatre and Design from the University of New Mexico and is a member United States Institute of Theater Technology and Illumination Engineering Society of North America
