IES Rio Grande Section Member Of The Month

Mr. Afshin Jian moved from Denver, Colorado to Albuquerque New Mexico in 1989. He is married and has two children. He is a graduate of University of New Mexico with Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering He has been working with Bohannan Huston Inc for last 8 years in the Traffic and Transportation Section, where he has been involved in many New Mexico Department of Transportation and various New Mexico municipalities’ projects. His expertise is in many aspects of traffic engineering including roadway geometric design, traffic signal and roadway lighting design. His lighting projects have been in design of interchange high-mast, roadway, and pedestrian lighting. Mr. Jian is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in New Mexico.

Mr. Jian enjoys martial arts, running and working out during the week, but you can definitely see him on a golf course at least once on the weekend.
